Sweet, floral, and refreshingly bright, this Strawberry Rose Paloma is the perfect sip for summer. Infused with fresh strawberries, a hint of rose, and a citrusy grapefruit twist, this cocktail is as beautiful as it is delicious. Created by Sarah Gualtieri, also known as The Boozy Ginger.
Recipe for Strawberry Rose Paloma
and Strawberry Rose Syrup
Ingredients:
- 2 oz tequila
- 1/2 oz strawberry rose syrup*
- 1/2 oz fresh lime
- Grapefruit soda (to top)
- Ice
- Salt or sugar and crushed food-grade dried rose petals (for rimming - optional)
Directions:
- If desired, rim a highball glass with sugar or salt.
- In a shaker, combine tequila, strawberry rose syrup, and lime juice with a few ice cubes, then shake gently.
- Fill the glass with ice, pour in the mixture, then top off with grapefruit soda. Stir lightly and garnish.
*Strawberry Rose Syrup
Ingredients:
- 1 cup chopped strawberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup food-grade dried rose petals
- 1 cup water
Directions:
- In a saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, rose petals, and water.
- Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes until the strawberries break down and the syrup slightly thickens.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool. Strain the syrup to remove solids. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for 2-3 weeks.
